Situationists
To tease out the radical potentional of just wandering, I will model my guide on the work of the Situationists. From 1957 to 1972, the artistic and political movement known as the Situationist Internationalist worked aggressively to subvert the conservative ideology of the bourgeoisie late capitalist worldıs "cadaverous rigidity" (Colle 1948, 21-23). The Situationists have left a constellation of concepts: psychogeography, diversion, situations, and unitary urbanism. Yet probably the most useful for urban studies is the derive (drift).
